kazanka.

Coming back and having school for the next week (after camp) was absolutely refreshing. There's these things called "verbs of motion" and they are so complicated! We worked on them all week, and I'm still a little lost. Good thing there are 3 more weeks to go! I've been trying to read Russian lyrics for hit songs, but I don't always have my computer, and I don't know how to use the printer here. Oh well...

An uneventful week, was made up by the amazing weekend which followed. =] Friday, we went to the Riviera, for a birthday party, and played Frisbee in the sand, ate delicious Russian cake, and got really tan! Although we couldn't swim in the Kazanka, a pretty but dirty river, we still got wet in the showers.
Through this adventure, we met a man with the smallest Speedo I've ever seen! After realizing he was showing off for us, we decided to ask him for a picture when we left the beach.

camp.

So I obviously have had a really bad time keeping up with the blog. Time just flies by way to fast!
Last week I went to this camp outside the Republic of Tartarstan. It was at Кленновая Гора, a sanitorium, otherwise known
as a vacationing spot for Russians. It was a long hour ride to the camp. We were greeted with our future roommates. Unknowingly
I chose a roommate who lived on the seventh floor. Sadly, the elevator was pretty much dead. It only went up to the
fifth floor, and it was slower than death to change between floors. After unpacking, I was placed into my group, the eigth team.
My leaders were pretty chill, except when it came to making lines and being quiet while walking down the stairs. All in all, the camp was full of fun-loving, russian-speaking youngsters who were extremely hospitable and welcoming.

Каммил и Лесон аre two friends from camp around my age who I hope to keep in contact with in the future! They're awesome!!!

mmmm.

wow, so one week down, 6 more to go! school is alright. i like my teacher, shes pretty amazing. our class talks in only russian andddd its pretty productive. i hope i'll make some russian friends in the area soon, but it can be quite difficult. i don't know where the "cool" kids chill =[ lol. but the mall has proven to be a teen ridden spot. i went to the dacha, its like a small house in the country that each family has and grows their own vegetables and fruits. despite the large mosquitoes and lack of shower, it is quite peaceful =] i went to the kremlin in the next town over. it is absolutely gorgeous. i saw a ton of brides getting wed, anddd i went to the world peace concert a little bit away =] i really like the music here. its like techno meets hip-hop in some odd way... i've been to the mall about 6 times.
